Angie's In Burnside - Dartmouth

I always stop by this restaurant right after getting off the plane. I always order the pan fried haddock and spinach salad because it is absolutely delicious. It's a fresh and simple dish that leaves me feeling satisfied and full. I wish I could try other items on the menu, but I just can't resist this one!

Food is good, typical bar food and service is always fast and friendly. Great place to go for lunch.

Four of us went for lunch on a Wednesday and our intended destination was full. Someone suggested Angie's as it was not too far away in the Dartmouth Industrial Park.It is a pub - but does it need to be be so dark and gloomy ?Serving staff were efficient.Two servings of chowder were rated as excellent. Chef's salad - avoid. Grilled haddock acceptable.My serving of nachos was good. Very light on the cheese - as requested. This the first pub, I have encountered, where there was an extra charge for second thimble sized "tub" of salsa.This visit served its purpose, but unlikely to be repeated in the near future.

I went in there yesterday at 4ish and it was dark and empty but I sat down and waited. And waited, and waited. A gentleman came in and was talking to someone at the bar so I waited some more. Then I left without even being acknowledged, Will not return.

The Customer Service was excellent while we visited. I recommend going for an afternoon beer or appetizer. The waitstaff recommended pan fried haddock. Perhaps I should have ordered that. The deep fryer works well...everything deep fried we ate was dripping grease. Great if you have a hangover. Food was quick. Food was hot. The taste wasn't even bad. Just couldn't get past the grease. The server was really great about it though. Discounted the meal once she saw we didn't eat it that service alone will bring me back for drinks.
