Tropical Grill Island Cuisine

This place came in handy after a beach run on a hot day! We were thirsty and needed some nutrients after our workout so we looked this place up. We wanted something healthy and refreshing as well. It isn't very big but had exactly what we needed. Everything on the menu is healthy and they offer natural smoothies, juices, and açaí bowls. I got the green smoothie. It was very refreshing and tasted great. They use fresh fruit and not sugary juice which I appreciate. This is definitely an island cuisine restaurant and not an imitation one. You can see products in their coolers that are sold in Jamaica and other islands. They also offer fresh food like salads. Even coconut water right out of a coconut. Their location is right in the middle of the beach.

Deerfield Beach's STAR on the strip is Tropical Grill. FIVE STARS to be exact. Caribbean restaurants are known for great flavors, big portions, and typically bad service. Two out of three is the Tropical Grill because the service was way better than any of those big name restaurants across the street. So for starters, this place is modern and clean. The Tropical Grill is a small spot, only one table inside along with about 10 more seats bar style along the windows and I think two tables outside. You order at the counter and they serve you at the table. They have a pretty diverse menu, from jerk, curries and kabob to poke bowls and smoothies. They also have beer and wine so yay for them. I came here with my daughter and boy did we both have a great time. There were two servers a man and a woman and the chef in the back. On our visit, all three engaged us and I was especially impressed because they were pretty busy with take out orders. All the entrees come with two sides. I had the curried goat, fried green plantains and cabbage carrots veggies, with a Carib beer as my beverage. It was gourmet Caribbean cuisine. The curry was mild, but they gave me a choice of hot sauces to spice it up. I chose the least spicy scotch bonnet which gave just enough spice to the dish. Any more and I might not have been able to taste the food. And the flavors were so wonderful. When I closed my eyes and took the first bite, I was transported for just a moment to Trinidad. My daughter had the steak and veggie kabob with white rice and Johnny cakes. For a beverage she had a strawberry mango pineapple smoothly. It was delicious! I almost wanted to order one for myself and add some white rum or vodka. It would have been extra delicious then. So in conclusion, Tropical Grill is on Deerfield Beach in an area where parking is very limited. It is right by a pay parking ramp and for $5 we had 2 hours to enjoy our meal. The food and service were amazing and I think at least for the near future, this will be my restaurant of choice in Deerfield Beach.

Absolutely so unprofessional These people are a scam Food was low quality They charged me $22 for shrimp That was on the menu for $6 when I corrected it. They refused to give me a refund because the shrimp was on the grill. Made no sense awful service and bacon on my boyfriends burger was nearly raw.

Wonderful and authentic Jamaican food. The staff really care about making sure their customers have the best quality and experience. The chef himself came out to see how we were enjoying it. Then they gave us samples of oxtail stew to whet our appetites for next time. Really great experience!

What and amazing dinner !! First thing first... this is a family business and for that I fall in love ... and second the food was delicious. We got the curry shrimp, oxtail and chicken tenders for my son!! If you haven't tried... hurry !!! The only thing I wasn't sure and don't like very much is the music outside... is a little bit loud...
