We 've been customers for a long time, and enjoy their Multigrain Sourdough, various cookies and specialty breads weekly. While costs have risen since the bakery changed hands in the fall, the quality of product remained consistent.Knowing their Cinnamon Chip Pull Apart would be the perfect addition to Christmas brunch, I inquired about an order. The baker hadn 't thought about baking this loaf in their tree shaped pan, but felt it could be done and said she would get back with me about the cost the following day, which she did. Though quite expensive, I ordered 2.The bread was picked up within 22 hours of serving, and looked beautiful.Unfortunatelywe couldn 't remove it from its paper pan, so it was served as is. The first guest was met with bread that couldn 't be pulled away from the pan or cut away from the rest of the loaf. After unsuccessful attempts by several guests, the bread was put aside and left untouched. While the resulting loaves looked wonderful, our experience seemed to suggest the bakery hadn 't taken the time to test how easily (or not) the bread could be removed for eating. I would much rather have been told this particular bread wouldn 't work well in this specialty pan. Spending over $55 for something that couldn 't be enjoyed might suggest the sale may have been more important than the quality of resulting product.
Lovely bread shop with so many options! Cinnamon chip swirl bread, pumpkin bread, cookies, and all types of bread. A sample would have been great. Would have loved a table to sit with a sandwich!
Have bought good but expensive bread here for years, was a long time satisfied customer. Latest purchase was the special pecan swirl bread we loved. The bread tasted like almost pure salt. Someone either accidently or deliberately mixed a huge amount of salt or sodium material substance in the bread dough. We tasted different sections of the bread, all the same. We tried cooking it up as French toast with applesauce, choked down a piece each and got sick to our stomachs. Couldn't finish eating. Was concerned we could be poisoned if we ate anymore. The majority of the loaf was left, was going to take it back, and warn the staff, they probably would have done something about it. Got busy and didn't do it. Hopefully it was an isolated interest, but with something that extreme and potentially dangerous, it will be a long time if we ever go back. It is too bad because we had always had good bread there, but we have found post Covid a lot of businesses have changed- many of them not for the better. And poorer quality control is one of the biggest changes we have noticed.
Very good bread would recommend it to anyone; a bit pricey but good stuff is worth it.
