I had the vegetarian Bumbu Jawa plate, and it was so delicious. So much food for a great price and the staff was super nice. I’d absolutely recommend for anyone in Den Haag.

I knew the Netherlands has good Indonesian food but had not really tasted it until I stumbled into Bumbu Jawa today! The ambience, the waitressing, the food, the drink, the price all deserve full five stars! I ordered the Bumbu Jawa Schotel which cost ~15 euros and as you see in the picture totally worth it! I got the spicy version which was just right for my palate and not too spicy. Also the coconut milk drink with jelly and palm sugar was so refreshing and delicious

Rijsttafel saté for two had overcooked rice, two items that were too spicy and overall was disappointing. Ordered ice tea and was expecting a bottle but got just a glas. No water offered.

Deze keer bestelde ik soto ayam cendol voor de lunch. Snel vriendelijke dienst. Mooie atmosfeer.
