We were met by Pete who welcomed us warmly and showed us though to our room. Wow it's even more stunning than the photos and then we found they had given us an ice bucket with a bottle of prosecco to celebrate. So thoughtful. The wood fired hot tub had been heated ready for us. Pete went through how to use it. So refreshing and relaxing in the glorious sunshine and totally private. It would have been even better if robes were provided, just a thought. We had ordered lamb shanks for dinner and decided to have them in our room as the table was nicely laid. Elaine and Pete brought everything through and it was lovely. The homemade crumble was delicious too. We were instructed to leave the trays outside our room. The bathroom with the roll top bath and separate large shower was lovely, with excellent toiletries. There were plenty of large soft towels. Unfortunately the shower went from freezing to scolding with no in-between. Hopefully the moving toilet seat has been fixed. The super king bed was very comfortable and the curtains kept the light out so we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was served in the dining room and is prepared to order, including tea and coffee. There was no menu so you have to guess what is available, the toast comes prespread but marmalade/jam wasn't offered. We also found it strange that the next morning it was assumed we wanted exactly the same. We enjoyed exploring the local area and returning for more relaxation in the garden and hot tub. We had predinner drinks in the sitting area before our evening meal, it was nice that others were dining too. Slightly off putting having the almost continuous swoosh of the steam iron though. Elaine and Pete are a gregarious couple and eager to be helpful.
We spent two nights at a wonderful accommodation. The room was beautifully decorated with a classy design. The king-size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was stunning, with a double-sized shower and a roll-top bath. The private garden with a hot tub was gorgeous. The hosts, Elaine and Pete, were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, even serving us breakfast in our room on the second morning. We highly recommend this place.
We had a fantastic time, lovely owners who couldn't be more welcoming, lovely surroundings and fab accommodation!! We'll be back!
We visited this CL site for a week over Easter 2023 with our granddaughters aged 16 12, in our touring caravan. The pitches are large and easily accessed, fresh water and sanitation points are also easily accessible. The site makes a good base for holiday attractions in North Wales, just off the A55. We enjoyed a super evening meal at the on site restaurant for my birthday. The owners Elaine and Pete, are very friendly and helpful, thank you for a great holiday!
We had a wonderful 2 nights stay. Elaine and Pete are such welcoming hosts and lovely people. The accommodation was beautiful, very spacious and comfortable and the breakfast and evening meal we had were delicious. It is such a lovely peaceful place and still very close to so many beautiful spots in North Wales. We really recommend it. Mags and David, Ireland
