Contribuer aux commentairesWe had a big group of 10 and we sit on time, although we were not allowed to commission until our whole party was there. that made sense because they were extremely busy (on Sunday brunch), so just one head up. the service was great, all our orders were also with a large group correct and the restaurant was super busy. eating was great, and the menu has tons of the options. we also enjoyed the groundless mimic and they were not stingy about bringing us more. in total I come back in definitiw!
We were early on our reservation, a table for 9 and had to wait for it to be set up. After we sit, there was a long waiting time to order drinks and long waiting times to order our food. none of us enjoyed our selection of meals that were varied because they were either cold or undercooked. I ordered the spinach and cream cheese omelette and it was cold, tasteless and there was hardly any spinat in the omelette. the tomatoes were also under mature. Of course we will not return. we gathered for a special occasion and our experience was very disappointing.
As we do every year we corto the Delectable Egg before the Pride Parade. This year the choice was regrettable. I am not sure if they have new management or what but the service was HORRIBLE, they were not that busy and we had to ask for a coffee refill (at 8:30am on a Sunday) the food was not great, the eggs Benedict was disgusting and the restrooms were filthy! Next year we will find some place else to go.
I loved that the Delectable Egg allowed us to make reservations in a convention city. However, I made those through the Open Table, and when we arrived the receptionist did not have record of our booking. She was also not very friendly about setting up tables for us and when extra guests arrived, told us that this was the last table we could have. (I think we used five square tables. Our waitress, on the other hand, was wonderful and worked very hard to keep us all happy. My own entree was disappointing. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. When it arrived, the eggs were watery and cold. I asked for them to be cooked and the next attempt was successful at that goal. However, the hollandaise sauce tasted like nothing. It 's supposed to be lemony! As far as I could tell, all the others in the group were happy with their meals.
The food was delicious. The service was atrocious! My reservation for 6 people consisted of a sticky note on the front register. The hostess (using that term loosely) was so unhappy with her job that day, it reflected VERY poorly in her attitude. Sorry, but the customer is the reason you have a job in the first place. They decided to seat two of us who arrived early to the restaurant; at a table for six. There were glares from others who were waiting and didn't have a reservation. No sure why they would sit part of a party fifteen minutes early. Waiter was not too stellar. He wasn't rude so much as being indifferent to our table. I asked for extra hollandaise sauce with my crab cake benedict. Would have been nice if I was told BEFORE I ordered it that there would be an additional $3.00 charge for 2 ounces of sauce. Total indifference from waiter when I asked about it. The food was delicious, though. Really need to work on the staff and their attitude!
