A group of us come in regularly, once a week. Some eat dinner, some eat a snack, some for coffee or tea. Service is usually good. And I know a group of women aren 't aren 't something wait staff looks forward to serving. I myself always tip well. More than recommended. But yesterday I left a tip equal to my percent of purchase. Which I haven 't done since covid. The waitress that served does not like it when we get her area. She is always curt, and edge of rude. She is the only one there that acts this way. I don 't think the other ladies tip well when we have her. The manager on duty, made excuses for her, ' waitress ,had alot of customers in her area This as happened with waitress before. We come in weekly, regular customers. The manger was was short with us as we had 2 extra people with us this time. From 7 to total of nine we told manger we had a group of 6 -8 coming. We had to move an extra table in with us , as the manger put us at a table for six. Then manager was irritated to us moving extra table. I know a group of women aren 't favorite as customers, but quite a few of us in this group are on limited income. This is time we gather to share we each other and offer advice, talk, laugh, celebrate. They know we are going to be there every week. From a few to 6-9 people. And since when does a manager , not listen and make excuses to customers for wait staff behavior? I am going to ask the rest of the if we should choose elsewhere to spend our time and money. Been going with this group for a yr now to Village Inn.
The food came out nice and hot and just as we ordered. The waitress was very nice and took care of us promptly. Thank you!
There are several excellent waiters and waitresses. Others, not so much. One of which should not be working on Wed. (free pie day with purchase. The male manager is great. The female one is not so nice. Again I think older people are irritating to these people. We attend every Wed. afternoon. From 4 9 of us. One waitress is always short and rude with us. Constantly huffing, grimacing and short with us. I tip well everywhere I go. This waitress gets the minimum from me only recently due to her never changing attitude when we are there. When I mentioned to the female manager that this waitress does not like us, she made excuses that the waitress was covering a large area. This manager placed us there with knowledge that it was to be 8 9 people.!? Majority of us are polite and friendly. One goes here a lot other than Wed. and she knows the people . But yesterday our waiter had left for the day, we tipped him early. This lady asked for her pie , to the female manager, . This manager said I 'm busy seating people , ask your waiter. The waiter then came out and took care of her. We were surprised he was still there. If it is short handedness that creates this atmosphere, it is not the customers fault. We can find another place to meet weekly.
