Mongkon Cafe - Devon

Was highly disappointed with this place. I went here because I love thai food and wanted to try a new restaurant. After eating here I felt like I am better off without any Thai food at all. I had to throw out every single dish I got from here. It smelled horrible and felt like they didn't have proper hygiene there either. The curry were so watery and totally flavorless.

This wasn't a great selection to come for thai food. There are better choices in the area. Food definitely needs a lot of perking up in the flavor area.

This is definitely a miss, don't bother trying. If this is authentic to thailand, I'll pass. Definitely needs a lot of more work in the tasting dept. But yes, try to avoid if you can. There's not much more to say.

Odd place we 've been here before during the summer. Two radiant heaters on tonight. Cold in here. Ordered fried spring rolls. They were 'good '. Don 't like hearing a microwave in a kitchen. And don 't like NOT hearing the searing on a grill. My wife 's drunken noodles were too drunk. It looked like it was re heated . My beef curry was ok at best. When was there sliced carrots and string beans in s curry dish? Still waiting to hear anything that sounds like an stove top frying away.. Beep Beep.... that 's all we hear in the kitchen Disappointed.

This is a really nice place for home-style authentic and hearty Thai food. Don't be discouraged by the out-of-place 90's style decor and it's somewhat shady location. The owners and the food are nice. I ordered spring rolls, satay and roast duck to go. All was good and the portion was large for the price paid.
