I have tried to contact the manager since our stay to solve the problem by email, facebook and phone, but were ignored. I've never left a bad review, but the experience ruined our trip and I'm really mad as we've been treated since then. if they wish a relaxing stay in crickhowell and are treated decently, I would advise to stay somewhere else.
Travel to newport we wanted to find a lunch break. what a great sound, excellent young worker all very welcoming and polite and super eating that we never had so tender bratbeef. for personal service and eating .
We went with friends in dragon inn while we were in front of place. the restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere and the service was warm, friendly and efficient. our friends are gluten-free and the personal has tried to ensure that they knew what was available and enjoyed. their meal. the food itself was delicious, I enjoyed the garlic mushrooms especially. as an additional bonus we could get a dog-friendly table. all in all, a beautiful evening!
We had the pleasure of coming here to lunch, booking on the morning when several other choices were posted, but we were satisfied with our meal. I started with half an excellent caught beer. then we had the bark roast, dinner and the chicken dinner of a child. the bark was very tasty and not tough, and I was pleased when I usually don't depend on bark meat, but when the dinners all came with yorkshire pudding, I thought it was a good idea. the others then had huge bowls of very sweet apple crumbs and custard, which I was pleased that I had not, as I was quite full. I had a cup instead. the service was fast and friendly, and we really enjoyed our meal, a very rare opportunity to have a Sunday roast. that it was nicely excavated and I would go back.
We have been going to eat at The Dragon for years and have always had good meals. We went last night for the first time since the pandemic hit and what a disappointment. We were a big group of so they had had our...choices since the night before. So there was no excuse for one starter to arrive a good minutes after everyone else. And when the mains came the fish and lamb were well over cooked , and the linguine came with no bacon in it . A huge disappointment for a special birthday celebration.
