The traditional atmosphere was authentic to the core. I was particularly delighted when the chef, who I assume was a grandpa, overheard us asking for garlic and placed a whole head of garlic on our table! It really took me back home—what a lovely experience!
The soup dumplings had very little soup inside them. While the service was excellent, the food was just average. Additionally, the absence of music in the restaurant made the atmosphere feel a bit uncomfortable.
I order takeout from this place at least once a month! It's my favorite dumpling spot in the West Island, and the food always arrives warm.
Mid-tier dumplings, cooked well but the filling wasn't too good. We ordered 15 pieces of the chef's choice, 10 pieces of the pork, shrimp, and coriander, hot and sour soup, and a small portion of the peanut dumplings, around $40 including tip and tax.Fast serviceNot worth to spend the money here in this economy.Vegetarian options: Offers vegetarian dumplings
Food was really good! I wish I knew sooner since I am from Toronto and I have to go all the way to downtown for Sammi dumplings. It was literally the same dumpling and cold noodles from Sammi as I found out its the same owner.Love the peanut butter dumplings and shrimp and coriander ones. They are my favorite !!!Highly recommend this spot if you live in the west island area!
