This is our regular, haven't tried anything else except the satay vegetable with extra tofu , our favourite, I don't know how they make it so yum, what's the recipe?
Having tried some Japanese fare in Auckland and Christchurch, I thought it might be an idea to try some in Dunedin. The fare in Auckland and Christchurch didn’t really set anything alight and I think it was roughly the same story in Dunedin. <br/ <br/ I’m not sure exactly why but the service was not too friendly at least initially. I was simply shown the menu and informed that I had to order and pay at the counter. If I remember correctly, I went with the agedashi tofu and the pork katsu don. I say if I remember correctly because looking at the picture, the tofu doesn’t look quite recognisable. It had a hard and crusty exterior and needed a lot of sauce. The pork katsu don was better and the rice was appropriate but it wasn’t an outstanding dish. <br/ <br/ The interior was tasteful and the service improved later on but overall the food seemed to be just average.
Love Tokyo house! We go there at least once a week because the food is awesome. Everything on the menu is yum, especially the freshly made sushi and teriyaki beef. The meals always come out quick and good portion sizes. Take away is quick and easy too. 5 star for sure.
Best sushi in Dunedin, fresh , clean and made with decent ingredients, so quick and friendly and CHEAP, love it here
