We choose to travel to Trail Stop in Eagan because they deserve our business. My wife and I both worked in the bar business and it is quite obvious that the owners and employees take care of customer experience. Property and staff always take the time to visit us and feel at home. The food is exceptional. The kitchen keeps the menu dynamic and makes seasonal menus that consistently provide an excellent addition to the main menu. My wife and I have come to TS since they opened their doors. The service, food and experience are anything but nothing. We will continue to call TS our goal. Go on!
Very delicious food! Beautiful location and fantastic service. and reasonable price. I love the pommes and the buffalo chicken sandwich was great. hubby had the Cuban sandwich, also very delicious! Totally recommended.
We ordered the season menu. The Jambalaya was particularly good, with good taste. The burger was good; the pommes were boiled, at least on the day we were there. Ambiance was a very typical sports bar, something like Jambalaya was a really nice surprise for me, and while the Burger food somehow fell flat on that day, service was good, and I would be ready to try this place again.
Trail Stop Tavern was a big surprise when my buddy and I went there in a kind of mood (we drove both in this area on a sleek Sunday night. We both needed a break after a long weekend and needed only a casual, relaxed place this night. Trail Stop was a perfect choice! It was a Tuesday night, and we expected the place to leave, wow we were surprised! The inner bar/restaurant was clamped, and the country music radiated. It had a great and relaxing mood, although perhaps the country music might have been a bit too loud for my taste (not much of a country-west type, right? The menu was simply bar fare, and the beer n(served in enormous 20 ounces sizes was cold and cheap. We were absolutely shocked to discover that Trail Stop is open until 1:00 in some nights, and even 2 am in other nights ( check their schedule first. WOW, we used to close bars at 9:00 or maybe at 10:00 during COVID times, but not to Trail Stop. No masks were seen in the entire facility. We had two recommended apps with our beers served the Wisconsin deep fried cheese curds with a wonderful jelly, and the deep fried pimples. The pickles were FANTASTIC and came crispy and salty and perfect with the beers. The same for the Kurds golden brown and perfectly fried. No calories in both of them too! The interior is casual, with a large center bar, and high tops all around. The ceiling was also a surprise for me, it was an old tin ceiling tile. Really funny interior. But it's time! Our server and hostess were very attentive and helpful for us Noobies. Your recommendations were perfect. The beer selection is a bit easy for our age taste, we would like to have seen a decent porter and a few more tap lines for a few more options, but meh, the beer was cold, and that was good enough for me. High markings for the casual atmosphere, easy access to Highway 3 in Eagan, large parking lot, simple but decent menu, and great staff. We're back to the Trail Stop! Especially when they shut down Willie Nelson!
OH MY GOD. Danica, my waitress, was the absolute most fun and amazing waitress ever. Don’t get me wrong, I have only had great service at the trail stop tavern, but this woman went above and beyond to make me and my friends experience the best. We were probably her last table of the night and She was the one that made our night end special. Not only was she fun, she catered to our every last request even when it was 10 minutes to bar close. We walked away not only having a great experience, but feeling like I made a friend in the process, I will never not ask for Danica!
