Each of us ordered a different meat dish, and each plate was beautifully presented and, most importantly, tasted delicious. To finish off the perfect meal, we all indulged in a dessert - the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. The host and staff were incredibly helpful and accommodated our dog with no issue, so we will definitely be returning for another visit.
Fantastic food, friendly staff, and beautiful decor make this restaurant a gem in Aylesbeare village. The menu offers an excellent variety of beers, wines, and always a great selection of gins.
We were very pleasantly surprised by our first visit to this restaurant, which is conveniently located away from Exeter. The table service was friendly and efficient, although locals are welcome to stop by for a pint only. The restaurant has a large open bar area, which is mirrored upstairs. The food we ordered was delicious with a good variety to choose from. The piped music was not too loud and the tables were well spaced out.
Eat here a few times in the last six months and have to say it is wonderful. a beautiful village pub with a beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. highly recommended.
Attended a friends 60th last night and if the buffet food was anything to go by, we will be coming back for dinner or lunch very soon. Excellent bar staff too. Thank you to all at The Nightjar, a hidden gem but once discovered, won’t...disappoint.
