Petonito's Pastry Cupcake Shoppe

I usually go to my regular bakery for baked goods, but it was closed so I came to this place to get a birthday cake. I like supporting small businesses when I can. However, I was disappointed with the Birthday cake I bought yesterday. I really wanted to like this bakery, but unfortunately the cake was not good at all. I ordered an Italian birthday cake, but what I received looked like a basic bakery birthday cake with rosette flowers in each corner. The frosting was fresh but bland, lacking sugar or vanilla. The cake itself was dry and tasteless. I was embarrassed to serve it after trying a piece myself. It was edible, but not very good. I won't be coming back here for a cake again.

We ordered my mom?s birthday cake from Petonito?s this year, and they did an absolutely fantastic job! She requested a chocolate cake with strawberry mousse and whipped cream frosting that had a St. Patrick?s Day theme, and I was blown away when I saw the cake come out. Thank you for making her birthday so special! I couldn?t help but pick up some zeppole and cannoli while I was there, and I was impressed that the cannoli shells were homemade too. The zeppole were honestly some of the best I?ve had. Amazing job all around!

I would like to thank Petonito?s for going above and beyond what I think other shops may have not done onMother?s Day. I called for a last minute order for 6 cupcakes. When I asked what they had available (I fully believed I?d buy already prepared cupcakes). But No! The lovely woman on the phone readily offered to prepare any cupcake with any filling and be fully decorated to our specifications. Wow I was amazed. After giving her my order she said they would be ready in 30-40 minutes. Again, very impressed! The cupcakes were beautiful and delicious! All for 2.50 a piece! Without any hesitation I now have a new go to bakery. Thank you to all at Petonito?s.

From the moment we met Mark, we knew that Petonito's was the right choice for us. We admired the traditional and family-owned aspect of the business. Mark truly showed that he cared about each person who entered his pastry shop. He allowed us to sample various cakes and fillings, making it difficult to choose just one. Mark and Adrianna made the process simple and assured us that everything would turn out beautifully. And they were right! Not only was the cake stunning, but we received countless compliments on how delicious it was (white cake with strawberry mousse filling, for those curious). We also opted to rent their cake stand, which was a fantastic decision. The cake exceeded my expectations in terms of beauty. Choosing Petonito's was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Thank you for your beautiful and delicious work. I highly recommend them.

Today I had an emergency when my niece fell ill and couldn't go out to get her husband a birthday cake. I called Petonito's Bakery at 2:00pm to see if it was possible to place an order for a birthday cake and have it delivered. Being in Baltimore, I wasn't sure how to arrange the logistics. I spoke with Sue, who was very helpful and instructed me on how to get the cake delivered. A gorgeous cake was delivered to their door at 5:15pm, and I was told that it was delicious!
