I eat here every week and it’s the best local pub that I have ever been to. The kitchen is not much bigger than my downstairs loo so when it is busy, most nights, there is a bit of a wait. When it comes it often interrupts your conversation with one of the locals and you wish they had been slower. There is nothing I can fault the land lady and her partner/husband for in their effort to make you evening great. Keep it up and don’t retire
What a lovely country pub ..came here to try out the quiz night and although we didn't do well we were made very welcome felt like it was my local.. wish it was!! definitely be calling in again soon
Outstanding service and food. Very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended. Lots of memorabilia around. Garden with plenty of tables under cover x
We were staying on the Yarwell Mill campsite and nipped in for a cheeky lunchtime drink and snack. Based on our experience we then returned for the evening karaoke fun. As per other reviews, one glance at the walls and the passage on the menu tells you there's a sense of humour running through the core of the pub. As a middle-aged group it ticked all the right boxes for us and certainly raised a smile. Service was friendly, with a good deal of banter. Our snacks were tasty and prompt. It just so happened that it was karaoke night, which we joined in with and almost became locals for the night. Great fun and a proper mix of tunes being sung, we could have gone on all night. Just a short stagger back to the caravans, all of us agreeing it'd been a fantastic find. We will definitely be back, if they'll have us after our singing obviously!
