In summary, very fancy restaurant with overpriced unpleasant food. The food here is definitely the most expensive Korean food in Perth, however; the taste of the food is definitely below other Korean restaurants in Perth such as Ssam, Palsaik, Hansik and Arirang. Their Kimchi soup costs $23 here which is more than $15.50 (Palsaik), $14.90 (Ssam) and $13.90 (Hansik). The other menus including their bbq are at least 30% more expensive. They would seriously need to up their game with their food to match the high end atmosphere of the the restaurant and their embellished menu.
Excellent service, modern decor and fantastic food makes for a wonderful dining experience each and every time. I especially love how it’s well ventilated and not smokey inside. It’s also wonderful to stroll along the waterfront after a beautiful evening.
I've been to a lot of Asian dining places and this place was great. The menus were the best I'd ever seen because you can see exactly what you get and the service was really nice. I felt very at home, whilst being in a high decor-state
Previously Shilla, the rebranding added some more class to this Korean BBQ restaurant. As reflected in the prices, quality of meats were above average. On this occasion the soy marinade was a tad too sweet, otherwise it had good flavour. The seafood pancake and fried chicken wings were excellent, however portion sizes could have been more generous for the price On this Sat night, the place was bustling and noisy. Waitresses were largely attentive. Plus point would be the location and secure free parking.
Was known as Shilla and had changed owners renamed as Goong. Waitresses wore the cute Korean outfits. .They provide underground parking if you dine there which is great and a plus point for that area can be challenging to get a parking spot Nice decor. Their tables are special as the smoke when BBQing does not disperse upwards like most places but is sucked into the stove instead. So smoke free BBQ experience I like the individual side dishes served to each diner The fried chicken is highly recommended. The tofu soup was nice as well without the usual strong msg found in other places The beef was fresh for BBQ. Good marbling; making the beef tender and juicy when barbequed. Pork...read more
