To combine a craft shop with a café would not have occurred to Mr Starbuck, but it works here. Plus the fact that dogs are allowed is going to attract a wide range of visitors. Its a comfy sort of place that sells a range of almost delicious cakes the usual batch of coffees plus other drinks. The staff are friendly enough, they are triers if not entirely professional only adds to the charm.
A friendly cafe and bar with a fantastic craft shop attached! We parked across the road and desperately needed a cup of tea. Friendly staff assisted us in as my wife has to use a rollator to get around due to back injuries, helped us to get seated and provided a large pot of excellent tea. We needed extra milk and it was no trouble at all. We did not eat of this visit but will do next time. The cakes looked delicious and there was a good and varied menu. It was a shame they were closing at 5 as we only arrived after 4.15 and would perhaps have liked longer there. The craft shop looks amazing with a wealth of items available. You can also sit outside for your refreshments too. Would highly recommend this interesting place.
My wife and I popped in to what advertised itself as an ice cream parlour today (Friday 24 July 2020) at 2pm. The shop was due to close at 4pm. A young woman asked us what we 'd like. We told her that we 'd like to come in and have an ice cream sundae. She replied that unfortunately the kitchen had just closed. Er, okay. We told her that we didn 't want any hot food but we 'd like an ice cream sundae. My wife was particularly keen on trying the Biskoff ice cream, one of a pretty impressive range of flavours in the display just as you walk in. The girl looked at us rather blankly and then told us that she was sorry but she didn 't think she had anything to put in a sundae. My wife replied 'you don 't THINK you have? to which the girl replied. 'No '. She continued to look at us and then offered us a cone. We left as we were utterly baffled as to how a place that advertises itself as being an ice cream parlour and which had, literally, at least a dozen different ice creams actually on display told us that they had nothing they could put in a sundae. Utterly bizarre.
On our Friday morning visit it was very popular with ladies over 40, some knitting in a circle, others in pairs or groups. It's a lovely venue with friendly staff, but the menu needs updating to match the modern premises.
