Costa - Eden

Not only is it dear when compared to other Costas in the area, the staff are a tad inept. Ordered 2 Cortadas one caramel. Was told that if I wanted caramel it would be a 50p extra shot when a Caramel is on their menu for 15p more than the standard. Staff were bemused when I pointed this out to them!

We made a quick stop at Costa to grab some coffee to go. It was evident that the staff was not very happy about working on a Sunday. We didn't taste the coffee until we were back on the road, and when we called to ask if there was a new blend being used, we were met with a rude response. However, to be fair, the manager later called to discuss our complaint, and we appreciated that gesture.

On our way to visit family in Glasgow stopped for quick coffee break. Short queue dealt with efficiently by the barista. Usual quality coffee and my wife really enjoyed her hot apple drink.

During our journey south last Friday, we made a pit stop at Southwaite Services Southbound. Our main goal was to take a break and stretch our legs. After wandering around, we walked across the pedestrian bridge that connects Southwaite Services Southbound with Southwaite Services Northbound. My daughter wanted a drink from Costa, so we joined the lengthy queue. Initially, I was unimpressed with the slow service. However, we stayed patient and eventually placed our order. Unfortunately, they were out of her usual peach iced tea due to her allergies. The manager stepped in and helped my daughter choose a safe alternative, the Bonfire spiced iced tea. Despite the busy and slow service, I was impressed with the manager's assistance. And most importantly, my daughter loved her drink!

Love coffee at Costa on our journey up to Scotland. I got a Carmel iced latte. Others got flat white and English breakfast tea.
