We spoke to the waitress who after 10 mins of looking into it advised that they didn 't have of the 3 starters we 'd ordered left and the chef had forgot to tell us! suffice to say we had no time for an alternative starter and asked for our mains to be brought out immediately. they were pretty quick with the mains after that but the fish was pretty inedible and the blue cheese burger and no blue cheese. very disappointed overall and don 't think I would return which is a shame as I previously enjoyed it there
It was during the fringe so probably not an accurate representation of what the place is really like however we booked a table for 6.45 , arrived at 6.50 , told them we had a show in summer hall nearby at 7.50 therefore we’re in a hurry , our wine took 20 minutes to arrive , the food despite reminders arrived at about 7.35 , the steak ordered medium was rare but we didn’t have time to return it , we paid immediately , ate as fast as we could , and missed our show by 5 mi ire’s . All very rushed and disorganised
Running out of food choices. Beers and wines not available out of stock
The sharing platter of tapas was delicious and the staff were very friendly.
Very friendly restaurant, lovely choice of menu! Unfortunately when we were there one of the ovens wasn't working so some of the dishes were off the menu, the macaroni, meatballs and haggis! Most of the sides contained these so that was a bit disappointing! My husband and I shared the halloumi which was lovely, my daughter had this too and my son in law had the pate! We all enjoyed our starters, good sized portions! The guys both had haddock for the main and my daughter and I had the pork (recommended on the web site) unfortunately although very tasty the crackling was solid so we couldn't eat it (I was afraid of breaking my teeth) I mentioned it to the waitress but she just smiled! Also served with (my pet hate) smash potatoes, why not real mash? Restaurant decor was my kind of thing quirky and modern!! Prices not too bad for what you get! Parking around it not so good, signs about parking are very decieving, meters outside state you are okay to park after 4.30pm but seemingly it's not as local shop owners saw us parking and told us it wasn't safe as cars have been towed away (even if the have a ticket on) if they.park b4 6pm so find a car park to be safe!! We asked the waitress about parking and she was no help as she didn't know!!??
