Stunning location, delicious coffee and scones, beautiful paintings to admire or buy, great atmosphere with lovely music (discovered Duncan Chisholm's music here), friendly service, place spotlessly clean, nice and cozy with log burner. First class experience!
Skoon is a lovely, community supported small business on Harris. We enjoyed a scone with cream and jam while admiring the hand crafted works for sale. There are some very large scale pieces but some beautiful small ones, also. The gallery has a wonderful ambience. It’s in an old cottage that is lovingly restored.
I recently had one of the best afternoon teas at this restaurant. The combination of bread-based and cake-based items with a cup of soup was just right. The fillings, including red pepper and hummus (not typically my choice but surprisingly good) and cheese with pineapple pickle, were delicious. The scones were exquisite. The atmosphere was cozy and the artwork was impressive.Overall, a great spot for afternoon tea.
Lovely atmosphere, welcoming staff, delicious coffee and freshly baked scones. Interesting artwork depicting the play of light on landscapes, with no pressure to make a purchase.
