The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere makes you feel like you're not in El Paso. I did not give it a 5-star rating because the service can be slow at times due to limited staff and some of the tables wobble, but this seems to be a common issue nowadays. However, the host/hostess and servers are very friendly, so overall I believe it is still worth the money spent.
Unacceptable experience. Poor customer service. Waited over an hour to finally be told the food was not yet ready and when asked to be prepared as take out this is the presentation of the take out. The food was placed directly on the box. Our server AndreaCamarillo C was un attentive and had no care for the service provided.
The fish and chips were delicious battered to perfection not too thick just crispy enough. Server with just the right amount of fries. The fish tacos were also good, but could've used more sauce. Overall a great place.
I recently visited Basico for brunch and had high expectations based on the pictures on Google, but unfortunately they were not met. The host greeted us promptly and seated us quickly, but there was a wait to place our order. While the food looked great, the taste was lacking. The pancakes, although visually appealing, were tough and chewy. The service was slow and we noticed other patrons leaving after not being served for a while. The prices were high and not worth it in my opinion. After this experience, I don't think I will be returning anytime soon.
Details: Unfortunately, our experience at Basico wasn't the best. We were seated at a dirty table and didn't receive silverware until after our food was served. It took about 30 minutes for someone to take our drink order, and we were rushed to order our food before being told there would be a long wait if we didn't. To make matters worse, one of our drinks was served in a dirty cup not once, but twice. The wrong food was also brought to our table, resulting in an additional 15-minute wait for the correct order. Finally, we waited over 25 minutes for the bill. It's clear that Basico needs better management and systems in place to handle the number of customers their menu and location attract.
