Shaliska - Englewood

There isn't much to say about Santiago's except that it's delicious. I'd prepare to wait in line no matter what time you show up, but they have the best breakfast burritos in town. And don't worry if you're vegetarian, you can request they be made without meat.

Vegetarians beware! Santiago's on South Broadway is hostile and discriminatory towards vegetarians. Despite their website stating vegetarian options are available, my experience was far from accommodating. The cashier was unhelpful and rushed me through my order, showing no interest in addressing my questions about the vegetarian options. Unfortunately, I ended up with a dish containing pork, despite my dietary restrictions. It was clear the cashier had no intention of assisting me and I left feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. I strongly advise fellow vegetarians to steer clear of Santiago's, especially the location on South Broadway in Englewood.

I have not been to a better restaurant since moving to the east coast. The food is authentic and unlike anything I have tasted in a while. The service is excellent and the family who owns and runs the restaurant is friendly. I highly recommend visiting this delicious local spot to show your support.
