Muy ricos los Chilaquiles y pan francés, volveremos pronto!
I see some people got lousy service. Us, not at all. Even when I called to find out about closing time, the gal was sharp and friendly. I am more used to being treated with an attitude of “you idiot, why are you calling” and then they speak so fast, rolling out what they have learned by memory, that you cannot even understand them. The place had a nice feel to it, not rustic, which is what a lot of restaurants in the area do well with, but windowy, clean, open. Music was not so loud as to forbid conversation. The menu was creative, not the standard menu for either the Mexican or American tastebuds. But creative, tasty, and attractive. We ignored the cuts of meat and things that were the expensive items on the menu. That left us still with enough choices. I liked “More than a sandwich” myself. My kids got other things and liked them as well. Kudos to Cuarzo, 400 yards off the main road, easy to find, and worth the visit. I would suggest a name change. They are better than quartz. They are a diamond without being fancy and formal.
