Would no longer recommend, food poor and service average. We used to love Bills but This is the first time we have been since the menu has changed for the worse. There is hardly anything left! The garlic bread was doughy and not hot more like pizza bread spread with some garlic paste (the restaurant was not busy) so it was sent back. There was something floating in my drink and the staff did not seem to notice the issues, I felt like I was annoying them. Paid and left, will not be back.
Food was cold and unseasoned and took over 30 minutes to arrive. Hot drinks were just about warm. Felt like it was sat out for a while. Expectations weren't great as have experienced this with other Bills, and they were met here.Won't be coming back.
I came to Bills to celebrate my birthday with my husband, daughter annd grand daughter. When we arrived as the weather was cloudy outside we asked if we could have one of the booth type tables . The waitress very kindly got us one . The excellent offer of prosecco for my birthday is a great idea . Unfortunately the restaurant was initially very busy and there appeared to be a lack of waiting staff so we had to wait a while for our drinks etc. It was not a major problem and those who served us were very nice . our food was very good and we choose off bod a la carte and set menu . When the bill came we noticed that the kids meal had been charged for when outside and e mail communication said it was free during the month of August. The waitress said it was because we had ordered from the set menu but could deduct from service charge . However we did not want to do that and paid the bill. However i would ask that the restaurant makes it very clear when the kids free meal offer does not apply as the sign outside and e mails i received are clearly misleading . Apart from that it was a lovely lunch
Worried that Bill’s is going the way of all once great places that become much bigger. Less attention to detail, less care taken, less of what made them a special treat.
