I try to eat here when I am in downtown Escondido. The staff is very welcoming and assistive with menu. I have had the Shrimp po boy several times and enjoy the two types of sauces available. My new favorite is the chicken wrap. It is filled with bite sized pieces of grilled chicken along with fresh veges in a tzatziki sauce. It is large enough for me to just eat half and take home the other half for another meal. I have enjoyed the onion rings also. The beignets are delightful and come with dipping sauces if desired. The staff is friendly and always makes sure my glass of iced tea is replenished.
I was impressed with the menu and quality of the food at H Bros. Service was great on a recent weekday. Portions were generous without being over the top and prices seemed fair. Hush puppies were outta sight! The restaurant was clean with a fun and interesting decor.
Driver did not follow instructions as to where to leave order and did not respond to text when asking where food was.
While I'm no Canadian, I do love me some poutine. Being that we're pretty far south of Vancouver, you have to allow some wiggle room in the area of authenticity. To that point, H Brothers may not be traditional in its recipe but it's fries cheese gravy (and that always) tastyGood service and a pretty varied menu of things guaranteed to break your diet. Nothing wrong happening here, folks.
