Soul Delishaus - Essex

The pork chop was excessively salty and tough, while the potatoes were overly thick and dry—I struggled to swallow them. The mac and cheese looked like it had come from a kitchen that only used leftover cheese. I won't be returning, especially for $43. Food: 1/5.

The mac and cheese was fantastic, and the sweet potatoes were delicious. However, my curry chicken was just okay; I prefer using different parts of the chicken rather than just the breast. The service over the phone could use significant improvement, and they really need to update their online menu. Overall, I would rate the food a 3/5.

The food was made fresh right in front of me, and it was delicious! I had whiting fish along with two sides and two drinks, all of which were fantastic. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5/5.

I had some food from this restaurant and it was great.Definitely recommend this place if you’re close to the Essex area.Can’t go wrong. I Ordered the baked chicken with cabbage and potato salad also a half n half.Everything was on point!!!??

I've been to this restaurant 3 times and the food is always delicious. The staff is always very kind and personal. The kitchen is visible from the front and always is very clean well kept. This seems to be a small family business and they're absolutely wonderful. It's always good to support small local businesses. This restaurant is a win all the way around.
