They make something crispy to make the edges of the gyro meat really good. Come with a big side, I always go fries my wife like to get the beets. And they're good I don't know if they fries well, but they're good. And then you always need the baklava when it's over. Go on and splurge and get two portions, you don't want to share it as soon as it goes.
My wife and I visited the Acropolis restaurant to have a pretty nice brunch while walking around Evansville. Upon arrival the building looked in good repair and the parking around it was very clean and not crowded. As soon as we entered, I gave the host a warm, masked, Yassas! Greek for 'Hello' formal . Unfortunately, the Lord was a bit lost to say the least. You could say I spoke to him Greek! Use the rim! The restaurant was a bit dim, but I felt it added to the Mediterranean feeling with all the relics, paintings, sculptures and decor. Not to mention the tile designs they had on the floors and walls, just beautiful! There are of course fantastic traditional and modern Greek music through the restaurant speakers. It wasn't too loud to be disturbing, and it wasn't too quiet to be noticed either. We sat almost immediately without waiting. Our table was clean and disinfected by Kovid 19 regulations and was included beside a window that was also clean, Sill. The floor was well blurred, not sticky and had no mop residue. The toilet men 's was a little less illuminated than I would prefer, smell OK, not great, but you could say it was a toilet. The floors were clean and free from debris, and there were many soap and paper towels. The waiter was very attentive, but not overlaid. We had a coat of arms from separate courts that seemed to have arrived from Greece itself! The aromas were amazing; Flavours devour your senses; and the visual presentation caused anticipatory Speichelung! We enjoyed everything from the gyros ye ro, the 'g' is not pronounced in the Greek plate to the smashed lamb shafts, and as always, a delicious shot of Ouzo to round it off! If you don't like licorice black ropes, you've won 't like these schnapps! They have many other spirits and wines to supplement your meal. The PQA for this meal was great. We received a generous part of the food that was very pleasant to the palate, and it was all at an affordable price. It is always worth visiting this little band of Greece, which we have here in Evansville! We will soon be back to satisfy our hunger for Greek cuisine! Grandpa!
Everything was excellent. I don't know how many times I drove past this place and thought it was more expensive than it was. Lunch prices were very reasonable, and the food was amazing. A special picky eater in our group actually liked the Dolmades (size leaves), and he never likes those except they are his grandmother authentic recipe.
This is a very nice place to have a cozy, romantic date night with your S/O. The food is exquisite and quite expensive. The waiters are very professional and attentive. The drinks are top-notch. Our waiter, Nicholas, went beyond and beyond to make our first visit wonderful.
Had an adult birthday gathering and we couldn't have been more pleased. The food was wonderful. The decor is lovely and there is plenty of room so you're not crowded up. We had such a great waitress! Her name is Dannie Sanders and she has a sweet demeanor and was very attentive to our needs. We will come back and ask for Dannie to wait on us again.
