Fish And Chips On Alphington Road

Just had some lovely cod and chips , surprise because I am often let down with some fish and chip shops , either with batter or type of potatoes used. In this case it was really good on both counts.Nice crispy batter good flakey cod and soft chips.

Perfectly cooked cod and batter not too greasy. Chips excellent too. It was all freshly cooked while I waited. Staff very friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stop here again and will recommend to friends.

Found this fish and chip shop by chance the day after Boxing Day starving hungry and trawling Plymouth in the car. Only ordered small portions as you often have to chuck the whole lot away in a chip shop but this was exceptional fish and chips fresh fish , crispy batter and lovely crunchy chips with no nasty aftertaste of old fat. Couldn’t recommend highly enough, Plus very lovely helpful staff. Thank you for saving the day!

Waited outside for shop to open, first in placed order for food, then had several customers come in and order and leave with food, the food is good but the lad serving is dead slow and stop, finally got food after 30 mins wait.

I have always been happy with the food but I was seriously let down with delivery on more than one occasion so I stopped using takeaways. However when I heard that Alphington Road Fish Chips had started doing their own delivery I decided to try again and I am glad I did. I have had two deliveries to date. The first arrived ten minutes early, no problem with that. The second delivery was two minutes late, and I received an apology from the gentleman bringing the food. Keep this up and I will be ordering on a regular basis.
