Double Eagle - Fairbanks

The food is wonderful. One of my favorite places to eat.

Took my Mom here for her Birthday. Had Filet Mignon and grilled veggies. The service was great, the food was amazing. You guys hit it out of the park. Keep up the great work.

I went to the restaurant with friends to celebrate one evening. I am giving this review because the service I received while there was some of the best I've had in town. The menu looked pretty good, though I didn't have anything other than the grilled cheese and fries I split with a 5-year-old. The waitress was super accommodating for the little guy, bringing cups with kids and straws to make drinking easier as we were at a tall table. She provided extra ketchup and refills any time we were low and was incredibly friendly through the whole process. She even brought out another lid to take juice to go when we were ready to leave for the night. All in all, prompt, friendly service and the best experience I could have asked for. That was my first visit, but it wont be my last.

We have been going to the Double Eagle since it opened as we used to only live right down the street about 1000ft away and were regulars. Now that we live much further away we don 't quite make it in as often, but when we do we are always pleasantly surprised and happy we did. The food is consistently excellent, from the appetizers to burgers or their delicious entrees and salads. They are anything but the same ordinary meals you find around town. The prices always surprise me as you can easily spend the same or more to have other places in town warm up pre packaged food, but why do that we you can have something real that is miles above better? The atmosphere is always welcoming as are the staff, even to our 2 young kids who at times can be a handful. I really can 't stress enough how friendly the staff and the patrons who come into sit at the 'bar ' are. It 's great to have a place that is non smoking, kid friendly to have a beer on tap with a good selection to boot. I can 't recommend the Double Eagle enough, it is truly a diamond in the rough of Fairbanks. Favorite Meal: Black Bleu Burger Best Desert: Irish Cream Bread Pudding PS They have winter hours, they aren 't just open during the summer!

We came in at around 2PM on a Sunday and they weren't very busy. We received fantastic timely service and recieved our food quickly. The food was above the Fairbanks standard, and the drinks were great.
