The Red Lantern has a good variety of food options and spirits. Our party had salads, steaks, burgers and chicken. All were prepared welll. We arrived about 7:00pm and had a half hour wait but they found us a table about when they thought they would and we had a good time.
Delicious food and generous portions. The service was excellent and our server was very attentive, helpful and delightful. The desserts are extra special!
The pulled pork flatbread appetizer was excellent. I was hesitant to order the BBQ brisket. I should have gone with my intuition. It should have been called BBBQ brisket: burnt barbecue brisket. Tough, chewy and nasty. Very disappointing coming off such a good appetizer. Third one is a charm so I risked it all for the bumble berry cobbler/pie. Has a hint of Rhubarb just to set off ones taste buds in a good way. Excellent, friendly service. Good portions and price. I’d go back but I’ll try the reindeer meatloaf entree next time.
We had meal vouchers for dinner. My wife got the crab platter and liked it a lot. I got the raindeer medalons and was not impressed. She got the brownie sundae and it was huge (she liked it a lot). I got the mixed berry pie and liked it. We were glad we had reservations, as we heard people being told of long waits to be seated. The clam chowder had very little clam and a lot of bacon (so not very good).
