The Bold Forester - Fareham

An absolutely amazing evening, the food was beyond my expectations just beautiful! The service was faultless, 5 stars! Special mention to Victoria, she was incredible, thank you!

I went to the Bold Forester with friends for a celebratory meal last night. I would say in the whole the food and service were good but my issue was that the fajitas came with small portions of the bottled guacamole, sour cream and salsa which are very tasteless. For the price we were charged (I think it was approx £17) they should serve fresh sauces with the food. The ocean platter starter was very good. We were also overcharged for a drink, which took some explaining as to how we did not receive it before it was removed from the bill. It was also a shame that the pub emptied out so early (maybe because it was mainly elderly diners) and we were the only table left after 9pm. I don't think I'd choose to go there again.

Family meal (adults and kids). Food was really good, enjoyed by all and everyone had a great time. Service was friendly.

The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, so we expected a bit of a delay. We were shown to our seats by a lovely polite young lady. The service we received was excellent, considering how busy it. She took our order, thẹn arrived with our drinks quite quickly. Not long after our food arrived. The food was delicious and hot, the lamb we ordered was so lean no fat. It was beautiful, we had a good selection of vegetables too. The service was faultless. The food was outstanding, cannot recommend this pub any higher. Really good.

Went with friends and my husband for lunch. Everything was excellent. We all had something different and it all arrived to our table at the same time, well presented and piping hot. The chips were lovely, crispy, but not over cooked. My husband really enjoyed his fish curry, hake and prawns. The slow cooked brisket was extremely tender, all in all an excellent lunch out.
