I didn't really get this place. almost food available, people sit on plastic chairs on large tables around, while miss ross was overly on the sound system. no disco. no restaurant. no bar, but very gay.
Mollies is a lively and popular gay-friendly restaurant in Melbourne. It is the perfect spot for dinner and drinks with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The food is delicious, the bar service is top-notch, and the staff are friendly and fun. The drag shows are entertaining and the atmosphere is inclusive, with opportunities for newcomers to participate in "drag baby" events on Thursday evenings. I will definitely be returning to Mollies next time I am in Melbourne.
It was fantastic to see a combination of delicious food and entertaining drag shows at this restaurant. We visited on a Sunday at 6:30 PM. It made us wonder why there aren't more gay bars that offer what this place does.
I've visited Mollie's several times in the past couple of months, but had a particularly good afternoon there on Saturday. The outdoor rooftop area is airy (even with smokers), decked out really nicely and spacious. There's also good range of decent wines, a good pub...food menu and a great atmosphere. The staff are also very friendly.
