He was just so pleasant I hope they give him a promotion. Another lady there (seemed like a manager? generously offered us a complimentary Mac’n’cheese that seemed to have been made by accident on another table’s order. They certainly didn’t have to offer the extra dish to a customer, but not wasting excess food is genius customer service much appreciated. The atmosphere was peppy, exotic and lively. Now for the food. I ordered the boneless 6 piece, heat factor “All in … go for broke”. The chicken was greasy, juicy, tender … just how a southern fried chicken should be! The batter was crispy. The spice? If that’s hottest they have to offer (with a heat disclaimer warning , I’d suggest they develop a new 5th category “el scorcho ring burner” for those truly wanting a heat challenge to their meal. Fries were nice. The sauces: the southern comeback had a tiny bit of zing to it, nice flavour. The Smoked out BBQ sauce, that’s the one to go for! One of the better BBQ sauces I’ve tasted. And washing the meal down with my favourite Dr Pepper … great choices of beverages!Hidden gem of a restaurant … please give your new waiter a raise!
