Food average, service poor, not asked would we you like a desert menu, not asked would you like any more drinks, lost orders £35-£40. Only two groups dinning.
I attended a party on Saturday and reconnected with old friends. The evening was going well until the bar ran out of JD, then Vodka, and eventually Bacardi. It was quite chaotic and disappointing. The manager should ensure there is enough stock, especially for a private party. To top it off, I accidentally trapped my fingers in the heavy and dangerous ladies' toilet door, which apparently has happened before. I will not be returning to this establishment anytime soon. A special mention to the very nice young man behind the bar who provided excellent service until the drinks ran out.
We stopped by this restaurant while out walking our dog. We enjoyed a few drinks and decided to have dinner there. I had the delicious salt and pepper chicken served on a bed of rice with homemade chunky chips. It was absolutely amazing.
I visited this restaurant over the bank holiday weekend while I was at the Alpaca farm. I have to admit, I am not usually a fan of carvery restaurants and I am always a bit cautious about trying out local restaurants outside of the city. However, I must say that I have finally found a carvery that actually cooks a delicious roast with excellent flavor, presentation, and it was cooked to perfection. The chef was very engaging and pleasant, making us feel at ease. He was a really nice guy and a true asset to the business.
