The weather is beautiful and the mood. The crowd is mixed, but mostly young children. Don't make my mistake. I'm tired of waiting on the line and just order a big deal from a place. You should definitely order a small product and jump to another line. There is so much option and stand in line is the activity. If you want to bring a picnic blanket, it is a good choice to sit on the grass and relax. There are bathrooms and hand washing area. Water is $1.50, so I suggest you go with a little cooler. Most small plates range from $4 to $6 and it is for most tasting. I don't think you'll get on a little less than 3 lines of food. Have fun.
Coming here was such a great experience. I moved 6 years ago to the DC area of Queens and I am always at my DMV friends about the great food at home and how diverse it is. Also, as seemingly cheap it is in contrast to DC. I came with a friend and took her here. She has to experience real NY, outside Manhattan and culture. We tried at least 6 different types of kitchen and each had wine. I spent a total of $60 and we had an explosion. The food was great, there were all kinds of providers and even a DJ.
If to follow everything that showed today's preview, it could be honest as it was before the pandemic. It was a little less packed due to the need to buy tickets, but the new stands that appeared this year are definitely worth a visit. My favorite hands down below is the new afghani stand with their dumplings. I would definitely recommend it if you didn't. The classic lobster and beef sticks cannot go wrong for some bites.
Today was amazing. The food was amazing. It was raining, but they were out there at 5:00. I have so much respect for these providers. I loved how short the lines were and the speed of the service.
This is a perfect place to try foods from all over the world. The prices are great from $5-$7 for food. They have a live band and you can picnic on the grass area or seat at the picnic table. I suggest coming before 7 to avoid long lines. I enjoyed the Indian Bbq tandoori wings from Sholay but it was spicy. The bake and shark was only $6 with all the toppings. I even got an lamb skewer for $3. This is also a family friendly event so you can bring the kids . They don't check your bags and their is no admission. However parking on site is $15 but along the side streets leading to the highway is free and at your on risk.
