Starbucks - Folsom

The restaurant is supposed to close at 6:30 PM today, but as it stands at 4:30 PM, the doors are locked. A sign suggests using the drive-thru, but that's closed as well. No one is answering the phones. Many customers, including myself, have tried to get service under the assumption that the restaurant is open, only to leave feeling disappointed. I understand that problems can occur, but it's only fair to provide an explanation for being closed during regular business hours. This situation reflects very poorly on management.

I arrived at 7:15 AM and found only one employee behind the counter who appeared to be doing nothing. The drive-thru was closed off, and the front door was locked. I understand that many businesses are dealing with staffing shortages, but with one employee on duty, they could at least keep the store open, even if the drive-thru needs to be shut down.

I was quite disappointed with the service. They mispronounced my name and prioritized online orders, serving three times as many customers as they did me. I wouldn't consider returning unless I placed an order in advance. Additionally, it seems they only hire and support certain individuals based on their political views instead of being inclusive of everyone.

The restaurant is frequently understaffed, which results in various service problems. Drinks are often served incorrectly, and when you point out the error, the staff tends to argue instead of resolving the issue.

This Starbucks is excellent and would easily deserve a five-star rating just for being a Starbucks. However, the conduct of a few customers tends to detract from the overall experience. The parking lot can get quite hectic, with drivers often attempting to cut in line, honking at others to get a move on, or blocking cars that decide to go inside instead of using the drive-thru. We all know how a line is supposed to work, right? That said, if you can make it there early in the morning, it's a wonderful experience. The service is prompt, and the coffee is both delicious and energizing.
