Contribuer aux commentairesThis place is under new ownership. Very disappointing. Made reservation for bar area ended up In the dining room. The bartender was let go and their drink menu has changed no more outstanding unique cocktails now just the same stuff everyone else has and even those were not good. Only had 2 chefs in the kitchen and you could tell the difference in the food. Sorry to say this quaint neighborhood spot is going downhill. It's a loss for all of us who appreciated the ambience and uniqueness of this restaurant. The staff, food, and cocktails is what kept people coming back. Sad.
This was my second time going in the last few weeks. I brought more friends with me this time. They loved it! It was a friend's birthday and she ordered the porkchop which she said was amazing. Loved the flavors it was seasoned with. I had a kale salad with seared ahi and it was absolutely delicious. Perfect blend of flavors. The waitress also brought a cup of gelato for my friend's birthday and that was to die for. She wants to come back and try more items on the menu.
The best part of my experience here was the Lamb Chops. Its a not a bad deal for $37. You get four 12 ounce chops with a side and veggies. I ordered that with a glass of wine. The outdoor patio is nice during good weather and has about half a dozen seats. That's where I sat. I'd return here again for those lamb chops!
We started with the beet salad. For the entree, we had the Chilean Sea Bass with the pistachio couscous. We substituted asparagus for the carrots and got a side of Brussels sprouts with the sweet chili sauce. Everything was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. The tables are a little close in proximity to one another which can be a little distracting if there is a louder conversation taking place at the table next to yours as it was in our case. I'm guessing that Friday Saturday nights could be quite loud as a result. We went on a Wednesday evening. We'll definitely be back again.
I felt terrible for our waitress. Three servers didn't show up for work that night (it was a Saturday, the restaurant was packed and she was solo. She did her absolute best considering the circumstances.
