Mexican Inn Cafe - Fort Worth

I went to Mexican Inn tonight and dined in. The food was good, but our to-go order of chicken fajitas was not up to par. I had requested the veggies to be well done, but when they brought it out, the veggies were barely cooked and the rice and beans were cold. I spoke to the waiter, who took them back to the kitchen to cook the meat and onions again, but the bell peppers remained barely cooked and the rice and beans were still cold. To make matters worse, the meat ended up being overcooked when all I wanted was the veggies to be well done. I asked to speak to the manager, who suggested putting it in the microwave, and offered no compensation. I will not be returning for a while.

I was disappointed with the choice of frito-style chips instead of the traditional tortilla chips and salsa at this Mexican restaurant. The tacos were underwhelming, but the rice and beans were decent. I have yet to find a good Mexican restaurant in Texas. However, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was enjoyable.

Our mother use to work for Mexican Inn. She was the head cook. Our family has always enjoyed the food and hospitality that we get at the restaurant. It brings back good memories of when Mom ran the kitchen and expected nothing but the best. So our familygathering are always at the restaurant. Thank you for always giving us good memories of the now.

Food is always hot and very good, drinks are always good, the service is usually pretty good, and I like that each person gets their own bowl of chips salsa, but there is ALWAYS flies or gnats buzzing around! I?ve been to this location on Hulen a fewtimes there's always some flies.

Our server was extremely slow. It seemed like he had too many tables to handle because he kept coming back to our table to bring things he had forgotten or that weren't ready. My friend ordered corn tortillas with her salad and didn't receive them until she was almost done eating. I ordered a margarita, which didn't arrive until I was halfway through my meal. The tacos I ordered had greasy and unappetizing ground beef. The chips, usually a favorite of mine, were fried in oil that wasn't hot enough, resulting in a clump of inedible chips in my bowl. I will not be returning to this Mexican restaurant. The food and service were awful.
