At the last minute, Gerard's was able to accommodate our group of 10 on a Saturday within an hour. We were impressed by the delicious meal, minimal wait times, and tasty drinks. The service at Gerard's is always top-notch. I highly recommend trying it if you haven't already.
I discovered this charming bistro in a laneway thanks to TripAdvisor. It is situated in the bustling James St dining area. The service was welcoming, attentive, and efficient, with the front of house manager, Pat, keeping things running smoothly. Despite being over 80% full, the service continued to be exceptional. The menu is thoughtfully designed with influences from the Middle East and Lebanon. Our scallops, bread, and Haikji chicken were absolutely delicious. The wine selection is diverse, and the option to order by the glass is perfect for a restaurant of this size. I am eager to return for another meal.
The food was mediocre, but the service was excellent. Sitting outside at 5:30 pm was not enjoyable due to heavy traffic making it difficult to have a conversation.
Full, fat and happy! Tastebuds still dancing and I feel like I have won the Lotto of dining. Juliette did an outstanding job tonight! Abrolhos Island scallops mopped up the *sigh* potato bread. Husband inhaled the slow marinated beef rib and slow cooked 14 hours. Smoked eggplant: we could smell the wood before it was placed on our table. Thank you for feeding us. Spectacular!
Chanced upon this restaurant in James Street and it was food to die for. We chose the set 3 course menu at $75pp and it was absolutely divine. Expensive yes, but worth ever cent. The service was excellent, thank you Maddy and Lillian. Do yourself a favour, try their set menu, the flavour were exquisite and i rate this as one of the best feeds i have had this year.
