Buffet too overpriced and little choice. Taste nothing special. For 75€ per person, this is cheeky.
I spent a couple of weeks before choosing the Movenpick Hotel for a family trip to Frankfurt. I'm almost 65 with a severe medical condition so I was pleased to find it is directly across the street from Skyline Plaza shopping mall. The breakfast buffet in the hotel's restaurant was perfect for the day and 1/2 that I was medically unable to leave the hotel. I'm not able to eat most foods so I was pleased to see they had many different things I could choose from to eat.
The one thing you want in a hotel is a decent night sleep and that seems hard to come by in this hotel. I travel well over 100 nights a year and cannot remember worse bedding anywhere. The bed is basically a couch foundation with a “mattress” on top that is less than 5cm thick. Think backpacking air mattress but less comfortable. On top of that the room was incredibly warm despite putting the thermostat to the lowest setting. The only way to cool off the room was to open the window and then deal with the considerable street noise. The breakfast was average the staff nondescript. In short if you want to get a good night sleep stay elsewhere.
This hotel is awesome: conveniently located (walkable distance from the main railway station), serves absolutely delicious breakfasts (cheese, salmon, fruits you name it), has good conference facilities and nice catering. Could be perfect for a business trip if they would have had comfy beds. Mine was not comfortable at all and my night sleep was not great, unfortunately. However I should say that rooms were not noisy.
