Great hidden lil spot in the center of Queenstown. Great coffee, delicious foods especially the bacon on mash dish but all are as tasty. Prices are okay. Serving sizes aren’t the biggest but are still filling. Great friendly staff and such a warm and cosy interior.
Very average food. If you’re coming from Melbourne you should probably lower your expectations on brunch in all of NZ tho. What makes me give the better number is the service! Would love to become a regular here, they are all super friendly and will start up a conversation about anything. The coffee was alright as well I had the veggie burger and it tasted as if I would’ve made it back home, which in this case is a good thing. (I didn’t bother taking a photo.. You could tell everything was made from scratch. My friend had the toast which was a bit burnt but it was fine. Honestly the homey feeling and the service made up for it all :
Here watching the rugby, nice spot more a 3.5 but you know how it is 3 to low and 4 a bit high. Great basic bar food with good service
I came to Joe’s Garage for lunch and I got the eggs (scrambled) with toasted sourdough and smoked salmon. The wait time was a bit long, which is something I realised is a common trend in Queenstown so it may just be a slower pace life compared to Auckland. The portion was filling and the portion of smoked salmon was very generous (5 slices). The eggs weren’t overly buttery or greasy, which I really appreciate.
