Staying at the Villa I thought I would try the fare, but was very disappointed in the quality and preparation of the food. Luke warm and not fresh....

I attended a conference banquet here, so my experience may not reflect a la carte dining. The Villa and dining rooms are stunning in appearance, worth the visit just to look around. However, the food was disappointing, just average in quality, and the wines were downright poor. The wines included in the banquet were especially poor; on requesting something better, we were brought a syrah, made in Italy but not a very good one. I asked for wines traditional to Italy and especially Tuscany, considering the name of the Villa, and eventually got a Brunello di Montalcino, quite good on an absolute basis, but only fair in the range of Brunello, which should be among the finest wines of Italy. Compared to other Brunellos I have had it was less than average, and was priced at 50 euros on the wine list.

Questa elegante villa sulla collina sopra Frascati deve l'aspetto attuale all'architetto Vanvitelli dal bellissimo esterno con giardino all'italiana , fontana a conchiglia ed il ninfeo e vista panoramica ; l'interno della dimora storica cinquecentesco con alti soffitti , affreschi e mobilio raffinato , ambiente speciale per ogni tipo di evento con personale professionale e con la cucina del giovane Mirko Campoli uno spettacolo di alta qualità e bellezza . Essendo in sei per pranzo abbiamo potuto assaporare : omaggio a marchesi , capesante alla plancia , il tortino , lo sgombro , la tartare , l'anatra , il rombo , la sfera di tiramisù , il dolce al caramello , ogni piatto una figata ! Abbiamo apprezzato l'amuse bouche e il pre-caffe . Complimenti Mirko sono felice che ti abbiamo conosciuto e ora ritrovato .
