Contribuer aux commentairesBar el Cerro is my favourite bar in the Frigiliana area. Wonderful views and if the restaurant is not busy, Conchita the owner will chat with us and we always have a good laugh with her and she gives us an insight into local life and culture. Looking forward to our next visit. :
Say a few words in Spanish, and the owner, despite some reviews, is lovely. The food is freshly cooked and authentically local. Shady terrace with superb views, perfect spot for proper Spanish lunch. We’ve been back several times over 15 years and it’s always the same great experience.
Fabulous setting and amazing food have been coming here for 15 years. Can 't get better views or food. Very peaceful setting. Have seen comments 're friendliness but the people that run it are lovely. We come back year afteryear. Best baby squid am a Blanche you can get. Shame pool nitnooen anymore.
Lovely restaurant on the outskirts of Frigiliana, worth a walk or even a drive to visit. Think we have been here every time we visit the area and I can honestly say that it is a real treat to come here. Tables with a view are reserved for diners but to be fair you get a good view from nearly all tables anyway. This time round we had a small beer each whilst we perused the menu. Our order consisted of a salad starter (included tuna and own grown avocado) followed by raciones of Meatballs, Fried aubergine with honey and patatas a lo pobre (potatoes fried with onion and green pepper). We were thinking of adding a fish dish but were advised not to. Order more if you need to we were told. Sound advice as the plates were full but also excellent quality and we were more than satisfied with my wife finishing off with a home made creme caramel which really was something special. Wanted to try Spanish rose wine and Conchita recommended the house wine at 10euros a bottle which was delicious. This place gets some bad reviews but I think that this is my favourite place in the area. We always walk there and back and take a couple of hours over lunch. It’s so relaxing and as long as you aren’t in a hurry it’s the perfect place to eat really good local produce freshly cooked basking in the incredible views along the valley to the sea. Definitely coming back.
Arrived to eat lunch but the woman working there met us with a bad grin because we pushed two tables together. We were 6 persons and the plastic tables were only for 4. She rearranged the tables. Moving them 5 inches and went to the kitchen making another bad face indicating that we were idiots. We saw it and of course left without ordering. This is a very secluded restaurant and guests at only one table but when treating guests like this, they definitely don’t deserve the incomes.
