I got the fried chicken and it was a bit dry, but pair it with the garlic mash they did not regret it. dessert options are great and brotpudding can not beat. do not miss a happy hour!
The oak is a very special and very well organized restaurant. they are good vegetarian options there to get some healthy food. will definitely come back when I'm in gainesville.
Tonight for dinner when my fiancée visited and I went through. this special district is flooded with restaurants. I ordered a captain and cola, and she had a black Witwen dish to drink. we shared a sequence of buffalo style cauliflower to start. my fianced braised boneless ribbed and I had a beet and arugula salad with candied pecans and goat cheese with angus steak (up price) our meals were served quickly and tastefully. the portions were not disappointed. prices were slightly north of average, but not completely inappropriate. our waitress amanda was great. she was funny, attentive and professional. she even helped us find our hotel for the evening. we would not hesitate to return to original american kitchen. Thank you!
Venue: quite large restaurant, tables and stands available. I ate alone at the bar. service: the barkeeper approached me quickly and was quite courteous and friendly. the manager also approached me as my meal was. Eat: it was pretty good, delicious steak, but they pay for it. drinks: they had a great choice, but stuck with my dietary coke on the rocks!
Amazing Brunch and Bottomless mimosas Had the biscuits and gravy and absolutely loved the breakfast potatoes.
