Little Tokyo - GALENA

We were a walk in for dinner with 9 people and they found a way to accommodate us. The food was good and the service was excellent. We had a very nice time and I will most certainly be back when I am in town.

Didn't expect to find this gem in little ol Galena. Huge menu of options and sushi rolls for every taste and preference. Portion sizes on sushi rolls is huge compared to similar restaurants. My only ask would have been for more options of spicier type rollsbut that's likely my southwest upbringing craving some heat with my rolls.

This was 1 of only 2 vegan friendly places listed for galena. I ate before the other, so we went here. I made it clear that I was a vegan and did not eat any animal products. the server said they would make the california roll and gyoso only with veggies. my Bento box showed up with fried rice with a server looked confused when we alerted him, but he immediately brought steam-free. still it was delicious!

We visited in the opposite and searched through the lists on happy cow for something that the whole family would like. most places seemed like their main vegan offer was just a burger. when we went down the main street, we spied this Japanese place. I have made a basic sleuthing on the menu and it seemed appropriate. I did not ask too many (whether the nebelsuppe has a herbal basis, or traditional fish base) but the veggie tempura, oldashi tofu and the 5 veggie sushi roll were pretty good! the vegan children were happy, and the non-veg family members were also happy!

Super happy with our lunch. beautiful selection of rolls. the rolls were bigger than we expected for the price. the personal was friendly and attentive.
