Sunnyside - Gales Ferry

Everything was great. The hostess was very kind. The place smelled like fresh pancakes. I ordered the garden omelette with fries, a side of strawberries and bacon. I also had a hot chocolate. Everyone I was with loved the food too. One got the waffle and the other had pancakes. We don't live in the area but if we are back here I would definitely go again. Great service too

Very reasonable prices was impressed by how quick your meal arrived after order was placed staff is very polite.

The shack in Groton has always been the king of breakfast in our area but now that sunnyside is here I may have to pass the crown. Loved it! Breakfast was great! Pancakes felt homemade with a nice texture. Meatlover omelette was tasty and thick. Service was great!! Very friendly! They had beautiful messages of kindness. Very positive vibe and very nice breakfast!

First the positives: The coffee was great and the home fries were solid. The service was fast and friendly.Reason I cannot give a favorable review: We went (myself and my spouse) because we heard they had a Taylor Ham (pork roll) egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, which is a favorite of ours. They call it the “Jersey Boy” and it is $9.99 with no sides (we ordered home fries separately), so I was expecting a solid sandwich given the price. Unfortunately it was a single egg, a single porkroll slice, and cheese on the saddest roll (mostly air, which compressed to nothing once you held it in your hand). I was shocked at the quality given the price, we both got the sandwich and were both equally very disappointed- I have honestly had better for $5 from a Jersey gas station grab go.
