The team was fantastic! I treated my niece and new nephew to champagne for their honeymoon and the front desk helped me get it all set up with a cc authorization. Most important they helped me craft the perfect note. It was so easy and they seemed to genuinely enjoy it too. Thanks for making it special!!
Spent the weekend at the Tremont House and was very impressed by the friendly staff. Brooklyn and Ryan made us feel welcomed and accommodated. Our room was absolutely beautiful! Very comfortable, conversation art, happy that it had a refrigerator and coffee bar. We had a great time down at the bar on ...seriously great mixologist at the bar. Fantastic location for kicking around and shopping. I can't wait to visit again. Unfortunately my room was next to the elevator...and it was like a freight train all night long, fortunately using a little white noise helped. I'll know better next time.
We booked one night for $450 for a 2 queen bed suit and sofa bed based on the beautiful photos for August 9th. When we got there we were told they oversold the rooms and did not have room in the main hotel for us. They moved us across the street into another building where we were given a one bedroom apartment type room with 1 king bed and sofa bed. The room was super cheap smelled bad and the bathroom door wouldn't even close. Even though this was the hotels screw up we were offered no discount just a bunch of I'm sorries. We understand it's not fair and vouchers for breakfast. We felt like we were in 2 star motel nothing g like what the hotel is supposed to be like. Such a scam! Will never trust to book with them again.
We have had two outstanding recent stays at the Tremont and highly recommend this hotel. From start to finish, the hospitality and quality shone through. We absolutely love it when hospitality staff take pride in their profession! When we arrived on our most recent visit, the valet was on point opening all of our doors with a greeting and a smile. The front desk staff were also very professional while letting their personalities shine through. On our first visit, the stay was in the main building with a bit of alley noise, but it did not ruin that short stay. Second stay we were in the Tremont Quarters across the street their loft/ suite building). The staff were very helpful when we requested a different room away from the elevator we like sleep). Our fabulous bellman made it happen right away with the help of his front desk colleague. The new room lacked the classic telephone but was otherwise awesome. The hotel was close to a variety of excellent restaurants in downtown Galveston. We were able to walk to an elegant dinner one night. Next to the Quarters was a lovely theatre and the cutest sweet shop The Pink Foyer). Delicious treats! The Tremont's gym is smaller but pretty nice. It has the basic equipment but no AC. We appreciated this since it seems like a waste to have a meat locker as a gym if part of the objective is to work up a healthy sweat. The elliptical could use some maintenance but was still usable. Also, before you think the gym is gross, the fragrance in there is perfect and subtle. The main hotel building reminds me of how old European hotels smell, which I find charming. The Quarters building across the street has an outstanding modern fragrance and is quite safe with only key card access. The decor throughout was a fun, modern, nautical. Muy cute. We enjoyed the main building Tremont lobby a couple of times as well. We appreciated that they had almond milk and gluten free bread available. When we had breakfast, the server was kind and accomodating. One lobby feature from the first visit we missed during the second was the live piano music in the lobby. Overall a great stay and we wish we could remember every staff member's name to give them a shout out. It is so nice to see folks take pride in a honorable job in hospitality. I am sure they see a lot and to consistently keep things kind and professional can be tough. Well done everyone from valet to the rockin' bellmen and the funny, cheery front desk staff. Cheers!
