The food quality at this restaurant did not meet my expectations. The sauce on my pasta was decent, but the chicken tasted like pre-cooked chicken from a grocery store that had been reheated in the sauce. The lasagne had an overwhelming amount of cheese and sauce, making it difficult to eat without a spoon. The wait for drinks was long, the toilets were dirty, and the staff were seen smoking outside and handling food without washing their hands. The behavior of the owner was also off-putting, as they were loud and seemed more like they owned a pub than a restaurant. I used to enjoy the food at DaRobertas, but after my last two visits, I will not be returning. There are plenty of other great restaurants in Salthill with delicious food, so I would recommend avoiding DaRobertas.
The service was terrible, one out of three meals had to be sent back because it was undercooked, and the toilets were dirty. Overall, the experience was very disappointing and I would not recommend this restaurant.
A beautiful restaurant in the heart of Salthill like a good wine it just gets better with time ,lovely food ,great hard working staff, just love the pizzas
I went to this restaurant for a Sunday lunch with my daughter. We started with Calamari Fritti, which were nice, and a Caesar's Salad, although the bread was soggy instead of crunchy. Our pizzas for the main course were large and had a good amount of toppings, but they arrived lukewarm and became chewy halfway through, making it difficult to cut with the provided knives. My espresso was almost cold and priced at €3.80. The service needs to be faster, and the food should be served promptly to avoid it sitting on the kitchen counter. The cutlery should be functional, not just aesthetically pleasing. The prices for the pizzas and coffee are high considering the mediocre quality.
