Excellent food and service - a Maine institution that consistently delivers. New Mainers here and look forward to making this a regular place.
Hadn't been there in a while, some good old diner food wanted and felt nostalgic. big mistake. New owners took over... the food is terrible...

I followed a friend's suggestion and tried this place out. The staff (waitress and cook) were extremely friendly and helpful. A1 offers a simple menu ranging from burgers, to comfort foods or healthy. I had the beet arugula salad with goat cheese and sliced almonds...DELICIOUS. I can't wait to go back again. Parking is available out back or along the street. Highly recommend it!
