Wrekenton Chop Suey - Gateshead

Been told that this is the best in Gateshead so I’ve tried it a few times to give it a chance. Each time the food gets worse. If this is the best in Gateshead I’d hate to try the others. How they get away with serving such disgusting food is a mystery. Simply awful

Absolutely shocking! Was told our order would be 1 hour and it was 2 hours before it got here. Part of the order was wrong and was practically cold when we got it. Never again.

Ordered meal at 6pm, rang at 8pm to be told that it had been delivered (it hadn’t)! Was told they’d send a fresh one and that didn’t materialise either. Not recommended at all!!

I think it comes down to luck with who is doing the cooking and which ingredients they are using at the time as sometimes the food can be absolutely delicious and at other times it seems like you have been given stuff which they had lying around for a while. Too inconsistent and I would not order on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday as they do not seem to be able to keep up with the orders so you could be waiting for quite a while for your food. I remember this place from years ago when it was run by a guy called Peter and everything was lush even the simple gravy and chips which had their own special taste and now it is just made from gravy salt which you could do at home. So sad to see it go like this.

This place surly gets the accolade for worst customer service ever they just don’t give a flying fig about customer loyalty if your not happy about something tough deal with it or go elsewhere I hope it goes bust
